Landon Morales, our Founder, embodies the spirit and commitment that Marine Conservancy is built upon. A lifelong waterman, Landon's connection to the sea was kindled at a young age. At just eight years old, he experienced the magic of the ocean while scuba diving for the first time in the Sea of Cortez. That initial dive was more than an adventure; it was the beginning of a lifelong journey. The ocean's beauty and majesty, its vibrant life forms, and the profound sense of belonging he felt in its depths, ignited a passion that would define part of Landon's life. From diving to surfing, to paddle boarding, kayaking, and sailing, Landon has embraced the oceans' call, exploring many of the world's seas and becoming a fervent advocate for their preservation.

The motivation behind Marine Conservancy is deeply personal. Witnessing firsthand the adverse changes affecting the ocean and its marine life, Landon felt a compelling urge to act. This sense of responsibility, fueled by a profound gratitude for the ocean's gifts, led to the establishment of Marine Conservancy. Together with Darryll, they envisioned an organization that could channel their passion into meaningful action for the benefit of marine environments worldwide.

 

Our mission is multifaceted, reflecting the complexity of challenges facing our oceans. Through awareness education, we aim to enlighten and inspire a new generation of ocean guardians. By funding technological innovation, we seek to advance solutions that can mitigate human impact on marine life. Supporting frontline efforts is also a cornerstone of our approach, enabling us to contribute directly to the conservation and rehabilitation of marine ecosystems.
