2026: Looking Ahead

As we prepare for the year ahead, Marine Conservancy’s work in 2026 will continue to build on our core values: advancing ocean science, supporting practical solutions, and empowering communities to protect the blue planet we all depend on.

In the coming year, our efforts will continue to emphasize collaboration, research, and communication. We plan to expand partnerships with scientists, educators, and coastal organizations around the world, strengthening networks that accelerate knowledge-sharing and innovation. We will also continue working to make ocean science more accessible to the public — through storytelling, outreach, and data-driven communication that brings complex marine issues into everyday understanding.

Throughout 2026, we expect to continue supporting important research across a wide range of marine environments, and to highlight key issues shaping ocean health — from ecosystem resilience and biodiversity, to the large-scale changes driven by climate and human activity. Our goal is not only to protect life within the ocean, but to connect people with the ocean in a way that feels relevant, meaningful, and actionable.

We believe the coming year will bring new opportunities to listen, learn, and lead — to amplify important work already happening, and to encourage new momentum where it’s most needed. The ocean is dynamic, constantly changing — and so are the conversations around its future. Marine Conservancy will continue to be part of those conversations, working to elevate research, advocate for sustainable strategies, and inspire stewardship across all levels of engagement.

2026 will be another year of progress, curiosity, and connection — and we look forward to sharing more as our plans develop.
